Position

OMMFA works with artists whose practice begins in lived experience: work rooted in the specific, authentic textures of a life rather than grand narratives or the mood of the moment.

OMMFA was founded in 2020 and is incorporated in England as a Community Interest Company, operating on a not-for-profit basis. It works through exhibitions, publications and public events. Recent projects include participation in The Wrong Biennale 2025/26 and a programme at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2025. Its current exhibition, THE WAY, brings together around thirty international artists at The Old Waiting Room, Peckham Rye Station, from 15 to 19 September 2026, as part of London Design Festival. For OMMFA, art is less a matter of where it is located than of how it moves and connects.

OMMFA attends to the subtle, authentic emotions of contemporary life, and to the faint but real connections between people.
